kris wrote: loius_steven wrote: Tanks for the help Kris. However i will leave this job for the magician Duncan, i believe that there is something else as it gives me Errors F5 and F6 too. I am a little afraid to touch this unit inside. Besides when it comes from Duncan its prepared to run for long years to come. ))) Duncan it goes to you in couple of days, its decided When they pick it up (ouch my back) i will send you the details and all that stuff. I can see why you're not keen to pop the hood on such a lovely player. You've made a wise decision. I'm sure Duncan can repair it. Good luck and keep us posted please The "fun" thing about the X0 is once you take the top off there's nothing to see but more metal covers

Now imagine you're in your slacks, white shirt and tie and you're tearing into that 7820 at a GM dealer showroom (with all the sales people looking over your shoulder asking questions). Most certainly NOT fun

rein-o wrote: i can but also can't imagine it. not worth the risk and not fun at all The best part was I got paid the same amount per hour to drive back and forth to the site as I got for doing the repair. A lot of driving but a lot of $$$$ (especially if I stacked the service calls). Go way north and then hit other dealers coming back south.

As for Cararte, if he is crazy enough to buy a broken X0 then it might sense to sell it to him. Not sure how he will get it repaired given his name is 'mud' in the laserdisc world but do you care. he will probably sell it "as new" and blame the damage on the buyer.....

Actualy Ricardo told me what hapened and i am not here to take any position, but you should be clear in what you say and accuse him like that is not correct. You know why i am speaking because i like fair views of the facts. He made his efforts to repair the player in his country after your techs there messed up. Did you told people that? Hummm i think you only tell what you want to tell. Why don't you e-mail him and try to solve things in a friendly way? In my life experience it was never good to solve things by speaking loud about others so everybody could hear. I say again, i am not taking positions, but i try to act correct in my life.

OR he is too busy with his job as a banker making billions prove us wrong ricardo o.k. so something happened, YOU are the seller, YOU have to take care of the situation. i bought a player from a seller in singapore, he didn't pack it well, it was broken in shipping he paid half of the repair once i got the cost from duncan. $h!t happens, sometimes you have to eat a big one, but don't hide

I just know him from the Hifi world, and i wa with him in person as i told before. I just hate to see this bad talking on the forum, and when i saw this for Ric i say to everybody who talks here and there about anyone, it's not good, just solve the problems with the people in a friendly way. Hey i am not making a "Priest" rol here, but these are my values, my education. If you choose to accept my comment it's ok, if not it's up to all of you. Anyways, Duncan about the X0 it's ready to ship but my friend in US is taking some information to see if they (the Customs) will give any problems to him.

louis_steven wrote: Actualy i have an offer from Ricardo and i am thinking if its best to sell or fix it.
I have read some comments here and i dont want to involve my self in those "dirty laundry" talk because i know him, and he never did anything wrong to me, and i dont believe on the other guy from holland to be honnest. Like the other guy said, its easy to talk on distance. I was with Ricardo in 2 or 3 expositions of HIFI in Lisbon and hes not like that. He told me the story, and here everyone can have a diferent opinion.
Again as for my X0 i will also call today another person and will try to have a solution. louis_steven = Ricardo Tomas So now wonder you don't believe me to be honest. You don't know the meaning of that word.
