how is it going to be that much? are you sending it express? i don't own that player and i know that player is heavy but is it over 60 pounds? when i check on usps.com they say from here to france 60 pounds will cost 227 express and 156 priority. i've sent lots of things to france using priority with no trouble, large guitars and such. so try and check some other way, unless it's going to be more on your end?

so try and check some other way, unless it's going to be more on your end? Depending how it's packed it's going to weigh 72 to 75 pounds And at some point it has to go on a plane which adds $$$ to the cost. HEAVY stuff going overseas (or even to Hawaii) is a pain in the wallet

ah, according to the website postal limit is 70, you can ship heavier but must pay more so that's what the surchage is. this is a lesson, if you love LD make sure your player is under 70 pounds so it can ship cheaper it may be the best player, but if it costs that much to ship it may not be worth it from overseas or even here.

My back usually screams "it's not worth the risk"

i would have taken the 4 and ran, my back would have also been happy also. i've had some great heavy stuff, but i'm even happier without it and without back troubles so far got rid of my arcade machines, pinball, large guitar amplifier, PR-7820 and more. i think that's about close to 1500 lbs that i lost also, for a grand wouldn't it be cheaper to fly duncan to you

it was the incredible hulk pinball from the late 1970s. great working but heavy, i was moving and had too much stuff. also if you do ever get one, you play it non stop for the first 2-3 months and then it's a large table. it was covered in papers and other stuff, it was just not worth it. 500 is better than 1000 for shipping good luck with it.

That is so nice Rein, i would love to have the experience to have it at home.
If i knew what i know these days an x0 wouldnt be an option, as it costs too much to fix when it has problems. with todays processors a good player like CLD97 or CLD99 or even the S9 or X9 at most would be awsome. But now that i have it and i like it i'll maintain it to the end.

I lost about 150 pounds when I divorced wife number one But it cost me WAY more than a grand [/quote] LOL It hapens, and there are lots of women in this world. Hey no remote is good! Ufff You save me a bunch of work Duncan! When you get it and finish it and ship it out to my friend again please double box it also carefuly again and i don't want to push him too much, its a special favor he is doing to me, and i dont want to abuse the situation if you know what i mean. I prefer to pay you the work. To pay you i might send the money to him and he sends to your account or something, we work that.
