Hello everyone,
I have a slight problem. I have a Pioneer CLD-D502 setup as my main player. It's a pleasure to use and I love that it plays both sides. However I've run into one small problem. I don't have the original remote for this specific player.
I do however have three LaserDisc remote controls:
1st remote: CU-CLD106 (Came with my first purchased LD player)
2nd remote: LaserKaraoke (Found at a thrift store)
3rd remote: CU-CLD029 (Bought at a yard sale)
Now the 3rd remote is the only one that has an 'Auto Digital / Analogue' button, which switches between the audio types. (So I can listen to a commentary track on for example Disney's deluxe CAV box set of The Lion King)
On the other remotes there is only an 'Audio' button, which switches between 1/Lch, 2/Rch, and Stereo. So it seems that for this one player I have to use two remotes in order to fully change the audio settings. (Not that I'm complaining...)
It's a bit odd, once I change it to Analogue audio the 'Audio' button on the other two remotes can then switch from Left and Right channels. It will actually mix the commentary and standard audio if you switch it to Stereo. But anyway, there are no buttons on the player itself, or the 1st or 2nd remote to change the audio from analogue to digital.
I was curious if I was missing any other features of my player due to not having the remote. I doubt it, but was just curious. Maybe I'll try to program my Logitech Harmony to combine two remotes in one !
