How does this player rate compared to say Elite models? I am thinking about replacing my V2600 with an Elite eventually.

You're eating hamburger for years, then decide to skip over meat-loaf and pot-roast and even T-bone and go right to Filet Mignon.

The 2600 is simply an entry level player with RS-232 added for computer interaction...nothing really "industrial" about it...

It works ok. I would eventually like to upgrade to a Pioneer Elite CLD-97.

I have one for my main use player it works okay but I plan on replacing it in a few months with a Elite or a higher-end CLD model
