I'm referring to the woman from Des Plaines, Illinois, with a new CLD-97, at a premium price of $3,387.00.,along with free economy shipping. I know this has been a topic of discussion on the forum in the past, but she has returned again, and I get a chuckle out of it each time. I had not come across her listing for some time now, and thought perhaps she would try again after Thanksgiving, and at a lower price.

I've seen that one too. But if you look closely, the box is opened. I'd love a brand new CLD 97, but I don't exactly trust that seller. She was seller a supposedly brand new Pioneer Elite CT 93 cassette deck, but, it was out of the box, and you could see the audio connector plastic was chipped. In my opinion, that machine, neither is this CLD 97 new. Since I like taking thing apart, etc, I'd love to be able to build a CLD 97.

even if it is new, you wouldn't know what kind of handling that box have had the last 15 years and the machine could very well be messed up internally =)
