I have a DVL 919E which has both auto flip and digital frame store so that when you flip from side A to B the last played frame is displayed on screen. This works fine when I'm part way through a side and press the A/B button on the remote to change side, but when I reach the end of a side all I actually get is a grabbed frame of black. I'm guessing this is because the End of Side code isn't read until the black frames are reached.

Is there a way to set up a player to show the last, non-black frame whilst turning? When I was researching players a while ago I'm sure I read in various places around the net about players which will do this, or at least it was implied that players could do this.

It's not really anything important as it doesn't really affect my enjoyment of watching a film, just something I've been wondering about for a while.

On my CLD-3030 which is a single side digital memory player I have a one shot memory button on the remote. I just press the button on the screen shot I want. So on a 5" CDV when playing the audio part it uses the image I picked and not the one the player would pick.
