Have Pioneer CLD-D515 and occassional get the error code U1 when putting a LD in. I eject and reinsert and the machine works perfectly. Is it on its way out? Machine is just a few months from being 20 years old. |

Here i found a list. It is for the cld d925. I don't see U3, but U1 there, or would it be misclamp standby? I had once an error code when i tried to pop in a disc which had cracks (Howard Jones LTGTKYW cracked in the mail It didn't spin up at all, gave some U* code and ejected the disc. (Of course it wasn't any good idea to put in a cracked disc to spin at 1800 rpm). |

It happens everynow and then. I put a disc on the tray seated correctly and close it. Then I hear a whirring noise then ejects the tray. I check the disc is seated in the tray close it and it works okay. My discs aren't cracked or anything. I would never put in a damaged disc. |

Maybe one of the belts is wearing out? That's a cheap thing to replace at least. |

Buy a new loading belt and everything will be fine, Pioneer past number VEB1184 then everything will be fine. |

My Elite CLD-59 gives me this error as well. Would the above mentioned belt be same part number that I would need or does someone know what that number is? Would really love to get this fixed, as the player is great otherwise. |

Same belt in all Pioneer units CLD-D503/703 and newer, including the dvl series. |

I have had the same problem on my CLD-925 player for a couple of years now. Other than that the player still works fine. It is easily fixable from what I have heard however I simply do not have the courage to open my player and fix it myself. |

You might not even need to replace the belt -- I didn't. I got mine working perfectly by removing it and cleaning it/the associated pulleys with some rubbing alcohol. It removed a lot of grime that I can only assume was causing the belt to slip, because it's been working perfectly for me since then. |

Sorry to hijack this old thread, but I'm having the same issue with my Pioneer CLD-D406. By "same issue" I mean I hear the whirring sound before the disc is ejected. After a few tries, the disc spins up and plays fine. The CLD-D406 is not listed as a supported unit for the belt part number VEB1184 on their site: http://parts.pioneerelectronics.com/part.asp?productNum=VEB1184 That said, does anyone know if is it compatible with my player? Or is there a different part number? Thanks in advance and Happy Easter everyone! JP |

krbahr wrote: Go to MARVAC.com website and order a SCQ3.8 belt Can confirm: SCQ3.8 is a better fit for VEB1184 than SCQ3.6 after you suggested it a while back. |
