Hey guys! Found something bizarre here:
http://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s-anze ... -175-16731
This guy is selling the above mentioned LD Player, when you look at one of the pictures, you´ll mention a switch, which was added latr. The description is a bit mysterious, as it only says, that the owner before, had the switch build in and that it triggers a circuit board. And thats it, I just wonder, what kind of cb this could be ?

It could be a PALB bypass circuit, which would greatly improve NTSC quality. At least that's the first thing I'd put in a switch for.

Dunno what else it could be - a test mode switch would be a momentary pushbutton.

I never heard of such a mod for PAL Players, do you know how it can be done? Well, it could be such a thing, but did they do such mods back in the mid-nineties? I found tzhe following here: http://www.benedictus.de/bde/index-bde-d.htm
Mr. Dohmen is offering the following modification:RGB out on Pioneer CLD 2950 / 925 (Scart /AV out). So maybe thats a possibility?

If the seller doesn't know, everything is just speculation at this point, unless they can provide some detailed pictures of the player's inside.

True, but maybe someone here has a similar modification. I can´t imagine that this is the only player with such a mod. The seller surely won´t open the player and well, I think the prtice is way too much (250.-€) ti take a peek.

A pal bypass would explain the switch.
Rgb out... Would be pointless Modding.

Around 100 euro would be worth it for the sake of science 8-)

Seller isn't the first owner ?
Beware with players that passed trough more than one owner's hands.
Most of the time everyone got to fool around making them unreliable machines. One fiddled with that, the other tried to mod... Clean, lost the remote.... Etc.
Get it first hand is my advice

Hope someone finds out what that mod is about anyway
