I'd say maybe worth it if you get 10 working players for $50 but not just 5. But what do I know? I have a couple of that type listed at $20 each and no response. Maybe listed to sell at $10 each would be okay. Maybe they'd be useful as a freebie LD player to be given with each higher-end player purchased. I could see listng a nice dual side Pioneer player with added bonus of FREE v2400 player, but only one remote to go with them. I saw many of those in the past coming out of schools and commercial businesses.
Not in much demand I guess and pretty much only useful as extra TV set player, though the analog video might be of interest to some. I like the picture on the S102 I have. And since nearly all Pioneer regular LD remotes will control most functions on them, if someone has a pioneer player already, it could be used for a backup. One thing I tried out a while back was to set up a dual side player and a single side player to a DVDO that would sense signal. Then load up both with a 3-sided disc, turn on the dual by hand, let it play sides 1 & 2, then when done, press on/off on the remote. The dual turned off and the single turned on and I'd play side 3, and the DVDO sensed the signal and switched right to it. The lazy way to play 3 sides.
One nice thing is the mono output for those LDs like The Private life of Sherlock Holmes, where dialog was on the left and music on the right!? Why? Who knows?
