I just came apon what I have been searching for ages. A pioneer CLD-1450 in as new condition. It ends in two hours. However I heard this model has alot of different things about it. Firstly you cannot change the audio from annalog to digital or vice versa and that the NTSC image it displays is not really NTSc mor of a psudo-Pal (NTSC 60HRZ).

Does anybody have one of these and can tell me how good it is?

According to this site, the player is set to digital audio by default and the remote lacks the button to switch, so you will need another remote, or perhaps a Harmony.

As for PQ, it is from 1991, so I assume you'd be better off with a CLD-D925 or a CLD-D7xx + transcoder, etc.. But then again I don't know if you're getting this as your main player or what

Yes this is my main player. LD player as extremely rare in Australia and myself being a perfectionist wants the perefect one that is in as new condition.
This is the first player I have even looked into bidding in nearly a whole year after my last LD player broke. This is how picky I am.

Well I don't know your money situation, but you'd probably be better off in terms of PQ and AQ if you imported an American or Japanese player (I would assume looking toward a Japanese player would be more logical given the geography, but idk). Though assuming importing is out of the question and physical condition trumps performance, then I'd say go for it (the CLD-1450 I mean).

All I really need is a player that Discovision and later discs. I don't need them in the highest possible quality, I just want better quality than that on VHS.
