The "V" tells you it's an industrial model. Interesting design — it's not anything like the LD-W1, which has one mechanism that can handle two trays, so you can play a three- or four-sided release without changing discs.

After looking at the back it seems to have separate video outs so probably not. Neat player though!

I believe this is just a karaoke dual player, so you can sync up the second title with the first still playing.

If you used to go to any karaoke places you would have seen such a player.
I guess it play sort of like having two players connected to your TV not like the W1 where it would be automatic but rather all manually done.

The trays are well apart, I want to say it's two separate mechanisms and two separate laser pick ups.

Two pickups for sure. I'm not even sure it has auto reverse, let alone the ability to play four sides in a row.

Don't know if it's the same, but... www.ebay.com/itm/Pioneer-Twin-LD-CD-CDV ... 2186122900 - there are four available.

IF it was TESTED and not located overseas, I'd think about getting one.

Many 30 cm Karaoke discs are single-sided - these usually contain 10, 12 or 14 songs. And LD Single and CDV are always single-sided. Inserting two of them at the same time into this twin player doubles your choices without having to use an auto-changer unit. Having connectors for a billbox this unit is highly optimized for commercial karaoke where you have to insert somewhere money and then you may choose a song using the many buttons in the middle of the front. By the button "Player Change" on the front you can choose which player is "active", i.e. which player's output is sent to the "SWITCHED" connectors on the back side (top).

I doubt very much that this player is able to play both sides of a disc, it has probably only access to side 1 of both discs you put in. And I think I have seen one of this type in a Karaoke box - many years ago. I would not buy one of them if I intend to watch movies ...

Just spotted one of these on Gr€€dBay. It looks really interesting. It would be nice if you could put a film in to both players and play sides 1, 2, 3 and 4 across both players without having to get up. Luxury!

That would be nice but this player(s) won’t do that. It’s essentially two CLD-1030 or CLD-3030 players stacked on top of each other (so single side players).

Not sure if I still have a brochure of this in my files but I’ll look for it and post if I do.
