I thought I was getting one from a second hand store but it didn't work and the person is trying to find another one. So I thought I'd ask here. Anyone in australia with a laserdisc player to spare? I have $170-320 to spend on it. It doesn't need to be fancy, it doesn't need auto flip. It has to be NTSC (do players that play both PAL and NTSC exist?). Doesn't even have to be a pioneer player.

Anyone care to help a guy out? :)

Happy Wednesday flemishdog,

Laserdisc Players sold in the UK are all PAL & NTSC compatible, and most if not all of the rest are NTSC.

Panasonic produced some good players but for me personally I prefer Pioneer LD Players.
You should be able to get hold of one somewhere.

Ebay have a great deal of players for aution at the moment, and I keep noticing that there is a small number of new unused back players that people are selling.

The only obvious problem for yourself thou is importing from outside Austrailia, the shipping cost can be quite high, so I can sympathise with your dilema.

I Genuinely hope you are able to get hold of one at some point.

Regards
