This is my player.
It's a Pioneer LD-V200 and I Bought it for 80 euros. The tray didn't open though so I did take a risk when I bought it. However all that needed to be done to fix it was glue a cog. And I have to say it is probably one of the worst Pal/NTSC players. But hey at least it is one.
In my opinion avoid PAL only players like a plague unless you will have both a PAL only and a NTSC only player. If you live in USA or Japan get an NTSC only player unless you find a cheap PAL player.
If you live in an country that uses PAL get a PAL and NTSC player.
Almost any player that is both PAL and NTSC (if you live in a country that uses NTSC then just NTSC player is good enough) and works is good enough if you aren't willing to spend much.
If you are really an enthusiast and want to get as good player as possible and have no concern for budget maybe you should look at one of those MUSE players.
