schweaty wrote: So, here's the story. Someone posted a MLD-7020 for sale on my local FB marketplace for $500. I knew it was essentially a re-skinned CLD-97. I wanted to see if the 97s had gotten expensive enough to warrant the price difference. I have a 95 and I wanted to see how much I could potentially get for it to offset some of the cost. I decided to pull the trigger. I doubted I would ever see another one again at that price. It's worth that easy, you can very easily sell for more if you don't like it. I paid $250 for mine broken an happily put another $200 into fixing it, very happily.

And we had recently a MLD 7020 selling in Japan. Box, manual, remote, tested playing both sides etc. One that actually works, not the $600 junk that a flipper had been trying to push for weeks after buying for $100 on Mercari. https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/r1060394267And the results is JPY 358,000 (US$2,600) at today's rate. That's basically the price of a mint HLD-X9 (around JPY 150,000 these days) and a mint HLD-X0 (JPY 200,000 recently). Seller must be quite happy! Julien

No parts, so they have a private museum in their parents basement. I love these people, I'm just bitter that I don't have this stuff to sell them Its like the podcast I heard recently, its not about selling cool stuff to cool people but selling to people who wear sweats and need stuff......

Julien The highest bidder saw my comment on the light box for $2,000 and decided to get that. Let’s be honest, he wasn’t going to watch any laserdiscs anyway. I was actually mistaken. The light box is a bargain at $1,500. https://shop.mcintoshlabs.com/collections/gifts/products/lb200-light-box

substance wrote: It is a box with an illuminated McIntosh logo. It has zero other functions. I disagree! It's not only borderline of completely useless, but it's also nearly full of empty space! Quote: Place unsightly components (streaming boxes, cable boxes, etc.) inside the LB200 to declutter and beautify your system How many times recently have you use the words unsightly, declutter and beautify in the same sentence? It's a marketing achievement! For only $300 more, I'd say "get a clock". At least it gives time... https://shop.mcintoshlabs.com/collections/gifts/products/mcintosh-clockJulien

My bad, the junk/faulty one is back on the market: LMD7020 (US$421 shipping included). https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/l1031509740No remote (but Pioneer one works), tray loads but doesn't play anything. At least he's honest, knowing that it's a paper-weight, it could be a good looking one: The appearance is very beautiful, so it may be a good idea to purchase it as an object.Julien

wildwall9 wrote: What would a MLD 7020 ..in a factory sealed box be worth? Im taking offers ..reserve price…starting at beachfront property in Malibu…lol Given the non-zero chance that the player might not work inside the box (damage in previous transit, belts needing replacement, etc.)... You'd have to open and test it before it's worth anything significant. Julien
