| Post subject: | CLD-97 Front panel button cover replacement |
Got a CLD-97 player, love the thing, but the front panel, the part that swings down to reveal the buttons has a broken hinge on one side so it's currently taped in place. Does anyone know of a way to get a replacement that won't require me to spend a lot of money buying a broken machine and replacing that way? |

Probably little chance to find a cosmetic part like that. I would recommend removing the door and seeing if you can find what broke off and you might be able to manufacture a replacement piece with something like Plastruct. In addition, maybe the part that broke is still inside the machine and then you would just need to epoxy it back in place with some extra reinforcement. I did something like that with my CLD-3030’s drop down door; good as new again.

I bought one from Kurtis not too long ago you can ask him if he has anymore lying around. |
