Why doesn't there appear to be much information about the HLD-1000 on lddb?

The threads I have seen mention that the unit is based on the CLD-97, and that the unit might not have native noise reduction. Is there a reason that the HLD-X9 and the HLD-X0 get a lot more recommends then the HLD-1000? The HLD-1000 sounds like the red headed pioneer muse step child. Why is this?

I have one the is supposed to be a working unit I want to user but I have too many repairs lined up to unbox it and do a detailed checkout. I can tell you from getting a part units that it is based off the 97 but with differences to accommodate MUSE circuitry in the existing board space. It also does not have an AC-3 output like the X0 and X9 have. I can tell you that the X0 will have a lower noise level just like the LD-S2. The X0 and X9 do have better adaptive filters if that is important.

I had one for a while, this was the exact reason why, it didn't get talked about a lot so it was a "cheap" way to get into Muse. I remember it being a very good picture for both Muse and standard LD, there are still to this day many fewer listed for sale than the X9 and X0. The red-headed Muse step child though is not the 1000 its the Panasonic / Sony players lol.

I’d imagine the price kept sales low and then when the other MUSE decks came out at about the same price people would buy those instead. The original price was about the same as the X-0 which is rather nuts. The X-0 is so physically impressive. Whoever bought one of these was shouldering MUSE development costs as well as the cost to build the player.

Circuitry must have been pretty well crammed into that thing...

FYI: the LD Archive shows a Hitachi rebadge version.
