Post subject:  Another will i notice a difference? CLD-V820 vs DVL-K88
Currently have a CLDV820 and a DVL-K88 has come up for sale down here in New Zealand (any LD player is hens teeth here) would i notice a improvement in picture quality?

Not particularly familiar with the CLD-V820, but you might get some ideas on this forum entry posted about 2 years ago:
Pioneer CLD-V820 (Review as basic player!)

I do own a DVL-K88, among other LD players. It is my favourite machine, 'cause I'm into laserdisc karaoke. It was also one of the last LD models produced by Pioneer, circa late 90's.

The ability to play DVDs (all DVL models have this) meant there could be some compromise or even, more chance to breakdown. However I'm happy with the player's output, and it hasn't broken down yet :thumbup:

You might need to fork out more $$$ on a good copy of the latter. Good luck!
