Hey everyone! Long-time lurker, first time poster.

I'm looking for the best analog sound out of a Laserdisc player. I'm trying to capture old sound mixes along with other analog track exclusives like commentaries and effects/music tracks.

I read the post about players with the best analog sound here:

best laserdisc players for analog audio?

I bought a Pioneer 660 and love it so far. I've got a chance to get a VP-1000 open box with the R-1000 as well. It is a bit pricey ($275ish) but if it is a marked improvement on the 660, I'm interested. In comparison, I paid $100 for the 660.

Has anybody been able to compare the VP-1000 and the 660's sound quality? I know the 1000 is supposed to be better but HOW much better are we talking about?

Thank you for your time and stay safe!
