That is noisy, wonder of those metal shelves are magnifying the sound??

I used to use those shelves for my gear but had plastic across for the feet.

Well, the 97 and S9 are some of the quietest players out there. I’ve never used a LD-V3000 but it looks tiny and tiny is rarely good for damping noise.

Also your shelf ain’t great, but mostly it’s the player.

This player actually weights in at 12.6 lbs which is actually lighter than a CLD-990 which was already pretty light. So I would say that it’s definitely going to vibrate more and thus be louder.

But I also agree with zeta as the nature of the rack could be transferring the noise to it as well. My StandDesign steel rack does a pretty good job of using wood platforms with spikes underneath to minimize vibration transfer to everything else.

That doesn’t look deep enough for LD.

I already have this for LD that's for the other stuff and maybe the LD-V3000. I need to get my other TV and everything else out of storage to completely be moved in. Also not using the LDS1 at the moment so I will move the VHS, DVDs and BDs to use it.
