That is the problem with R7G, it is incredibly light and easy to damage in shipping.

I got my R7G through a proxy and paid extra for double boxing and reinforcement. I took the risk of shipping it by boat too. It arrived absolutely bulletproof. It could have been tossed in to the middle of a destruction derby during transit and would have arrived in one piece.

I guess with the right insurance and paperwork in place for customs etc if it all goes wrong you should at least get your money back. Hopefully it will arrive safe for jefix though, fingers crossed.

I also want to pay extra for reinforced packaging. I haven't sent the player yet, I just can't find a remote for it

Can anyone tell if the cu-cld108 remote will work? Will I be able to turn off filters?

I had to get my remote control separately too. They are not cheap and don't seem to come up often. Jump on the first one you see if it is in good working order.

You will need the right remote control because the DEXT thing has a dedicated button. Others here will be able to tell you more I may have missed but bottom line is get the correct remote control if you can.

I found one, but it was removed from the auction

Now there is only one cu-cld108 left for $60. I think it will work, but I'm not sure.

D-EXT can be activated on the front panel.

Turning on and playing with the 3D comb filter you need the right remote

Here the remote that came with my R7.
Please note the 'V-DNR 3D' Select button.
Im sure other remotes will have this.
Enters the Comb Filter menu to turn on adjust all the settings.

Cu-cld108 has these buttons. But it was already bought while I was sleeping :o

Can anyone read the codes from their remote?
I am ready to send the code reader for free.

If you are not on a tight timeframe I would wait it out until the correct remote comes along. They are out there, they just don't pop up regularly. Get it all shipshape first time and save problems further down the road.

Enjoy your R7G when it arrives. Make sure to pet it regularly and read the instruction manual to it at bedtime every night! I don't regret being subliminally made to buy one by people on this forum!
