xtempo wrote: If its possible can you take some pictures? I can't put mine back together and also I would like a picture of how the wires were plug into the upper left (toward the back) from the front. I can understand if you don't want to open it up but if you could it would be helpful. thanks. Not mine but I remembered seeing this around before so tracked it down. Hope it helps. http://www.meridian-audio.info/viewphoto.php?compid=136

that is helpful. I can't figure out which yellow wire goes where. When you look at the 3rd pic from the bottom where it shows the wires connected to the box that has 11 and 15 on it. Does that mean looking at the above pic that the yellow wire that says 11 is the first wire in the white molex? I forgot which goes where and am going to try soldering the wires since I pulled them out of the molex. thanks for the help.

benmbe wrote: P.S. hippiedalek Thank you for providing the photo showing the inner workings of the 519, truly well built indeed, and glad that I purchased mine..........I hope that you are well and taking goo care of yourself sir. I'm doing good, thanks for asking : ) I hope everything is going well with you too, benmbe. After moving house last year I was able to finally get my Meridian 519, and the rest of my laserdisc paraphernalia, set up permanently rather than it having to be moved and setup each time due to space problems, so recently I've been enjoying the 519 quite a bit, a great piece of equipment. The photo of the inside of the 519 isn't mine, just something I remembered seeing around on the net. I did have to open it up at one point though to change the jumpers around. It's a solid device, really well built.

thx xtempo for the help. One last question, does it "convert" optical imput to coax output ??? Can´t help you with the fixing, but here:http://www.ebay.de/itm/Meridian-519-Laserdisc-AC3-Decoder-/321442840337?pt=DE_TV_Video_Audio_Sonstige&hash=item4ad77c7f11 is someone selling it´s AC-3 decoder.

pretty confusing description on the back of the unit since they label it to have another fuse when it runs on 220 volts...?
They didn't include a switchable PS in these units? I was hoping a simple rewire inside would do the trick just like a Yamaha APD-1 110 volts is possible to rewire to 220 volts from what I've read online...? This one actually has a linear power supply so you will have to replace the transformer.

Indeed I just found out the hard way with the printing on the back of the unit as a standard for 110-230Volts I was hoping to find something switchable
