They would have used a non-standard connector?!?

Power adaptor is "out for delivery", we should know soon enough.
I'll unpack it gently if I need to send it back to AMZ.

Isn't this $29.99 "AC Adapter For Kenwood" a direct copy/paste from the basic $14 Amazon "UpBright 12V AC/DC Adapter"?

A bit stiff to pay $15 for the word "Kenwood".

Could someone with the original KENWOOD power adapter take close up pictures of the barrel connector plugging in to the Demodulator?

Ideally, measuring the diameter of the plug!

The Service Manual provides the internal part # E03-0315-05 but it's... a "DC Jack Dem999"... for which the AC Adapter 880Z75-7333-72 has been discontinued.

Because right now...

Tried all the power converters' adapters I could get my hands on and... nothing fits.

Bite the bullet and purchased a DEM-999D with the original power supply to make precise measurements and try to find compatible spare part to modify a 12V 500mA converter with the correct adapter.

As I said above, the non-OEM one I got off eBay for $30 did work.
