In the video LIVE is on the right #7 and POWER starts on the left #1 (100V) -- also how my Japanese RFD-1 is cabled for 100V.

Moving POWER to #2 turns the RFD-1 from 100V to 120V.
Moving it to #4 turns the RFD-1 from 100V to 220V.
Moving it to #5 turns the RFD-1 from 100V to 240V (as shown in the video).

Anyone with a 120V/220V/240V model could easily visually check how the jumper is configured.

This pic of a RFD-1 would show how 120V is selected (moving the white cable from Pin 1 (100V) to Pin 2 (120V).

That would make pin 7 the one on the left (LIVE power, doesn't move) and pin 1 the one on the right -- as showed in the video above.

I converted mine a while ago and has been solid for ages now (BTW change the fuse if you change from 110v to 250v ie T250ma 250V fuse). Agreed - @cozzm0 thanks for the video, would have made things easier when I did it :)

On a seperate note the transformer in the unit has the following markings VTT1153 TAM 23C039D A W 9840. I need to replace it and cannot find any data on the thing. Does anyone know:
- a link to the data sheet for this transformer?
- what the modern equivalent replacement model might be?
- The input side is pretty clear ie white = common, Yellow = 100V, Brown = 120V, Blue = 220V, Purple = 250V but not sure about the rest of the specs? anyone?

Here you will find on page 9, the power the board needs is +5V and -5V => secondary has 3 exits, whereby middle is ground.

Dependent on your input needs 115 or 230 and 2x 6,3V

Edwin thanks for the reply. I had found the schematics on another site and spotted the +-5V (should have put that in my original post).......the power output rating was the big concern followed by the physical size.
In the end I settled on the 266F12C by Hammond ie Chassis Mount, 117/234V in, +-6V 350ma out ea. Size is a little larger but should work out. Data sheet as follows:

The transformer is en route and once I get it installed and tested I will update this post with how it went in case someone else needs it.

*addendum 1* The transformer came in and physically fits in the RFD-1 like the original ie no need for any new mounting holes, or manipulation etc. The output voltage is ~+-6.4V even though the data sheet rates it ~6V no big deal. The device fires up and the optic fibre ports on the rear light up etc. Now unfortunately I tried switching the LD player on to test the RFD-1 but it didn't fire up.....so I have to sort the Pioneer :x out before I can report total success.
