Found 2 brand new mint sealed DEM-999D Kenwood demodulators today. :o
They are nice looking small units. They lack optical out and autoswitching for dts passtrough but they sure are tiny.
I like the fact they have a seperate power supply.
A nice surprising find for sure. The owner claimed he never got around using them for his record player :wtf:
Analog to digital conversion device I asked ? "oh yeah" he told me....
I played along and took them home

Has anyone ever owned a DEM-9991D? I'm not sure they ever got sold in europe...? They look identical but have the extra pass trough input....
I never came across one and I've bought a lot in the past years....

I also have both the kenwood DEM-999D and DEM-9991D.

Both mine are I thinks brand new without any scratches ect and came with original boxes.

The only one that I have used to date is the Meridian 519 of which I have 2.

I also have the Pioneer and the Lexicon models as spares.

The good thing about these RF-Demodulators is that they keep coming up on Auctions sites quite regularly, and although the Meridian is still being sold for up to £140 pounds is a testament of how much they are rated.

 :D
