I didn't think anybody could make these, they needed a special chipset inside and I didn't think others were able to make it since it was
locked up with proprietary stuff.

It was something they introduced but not sure if it ever went into production. I have never seen one in the wild.

I do own four of the demodulator boards that were intended for the CLU and they do work great with the few players I added them to.

Did you check the Hardware Database first?

I did try to find that section but did not know where to start. But now I know.
