Post subject:  [DEM-999D] Denon Amplifier Question

Hi all,

I have a Kenwood DEM- 999D and a new Denon AVRX-2600H amplifier.

https://www.denon.com/en-za/shop/avreceiver/avrx2600h

From what I can see there is no way to connect the digital coax from the demodulator to the amp directly (the demodulator doesn't have optical out).

Does anyone know of any workaround or add on that can be purchased to achieve a connection from the demodulator to the amplifier?

Many thanks

It may just be easier to sell your Kenwood RF demodulator, it shouldn’t be too difficult to find a buyer if the price is right then grab yourself something like a Sony MOD -RF1 which does support optical output, also I think the Yamaha APD-1 and Pioneer are so fitted.

There are quite a number of ways to convert coax to TOSLINK and back. It’s a pretty trivial job. A quick eBay search shows several products.

This will work. Not as complicated as one thinks.

Thanks all. I've ended up ordering a coax to optical converter from Amazon.

Cheers
