Some have 4ch and some are 2ch only. Those that are 4ch also have the 2ch version as pcm. I don't have any soundcard on this rig. I am using my Lumagen Radiance 2144 to transcode digital coax into hdmi along with the component video from the muse decoder. Other option would be to use the blackmagic intensive pro 4k to digitize the component video but the radiance have better adc implementation. Also the intensity pro doesn't have any digital audio input.

Unfortunately the Muse audio is a mess. The simplest form is 2ch pcm. I am not equipped to capture 4ch mix. The capture is going to include the 2ch pcm tracks.

I pulled my capture card from storage the other day. It is a Black magic Intensity Pro 4k PCIe card. Supposedly, it can capture up to 4K30 from its HDMI input. It also has a DB25 connector with breakout cables with composite, S-video, and component inputs. The analog I/O section is a bit disappointing. It uses the ADV7180 chipset which is 2D 5-Line only for the composite input. The famous ADV7800 chipset was already available well before this product launched. Edit: Kintex 7 - XC7K70T by AMD/Xilinx is the FPGA used on this card. It is actually a very expensive FPGA for a $235 capture card.
