It looks like the winner is Jurassic Park. I need one long hdmi cable between my capture rig and playback rig then I am allset for the first capture.

Unfortunately the Muse audio is a mess. The simplest form is 2ch pcm. I am not equipped to capture 4ch mix. The capture is going to include the 2ch pcm tracks.

Yes all ssds, m.2s and hdds are in raid0.

2x1tb samsung 960 pro m.2 nvme in raid0 for the capture.
2x250gb samsung 850 evo sata 3 in raid0 for primary storage
2x3tb wd red sata 3 in raid0 for main backup.

Does every duck have 4ch audio?
What are you missing to capture it?

Some have 4ch and some are 2ch only. Those that are 4ch also have the 2ch version as pcm.

I don't have any soundcard on this rig. I am using my Lumagen Radiance 2144 to transcode digital coax into hdmi along with the component video from the muse decoder. Other option would be to use the blackmagic intensive pro 4k to digitize the component video but the radiance have better adc implementation. Also the intensity pro doesn't have any digital audio input.

How does one know if the disc contains a 4ch audio track?
Is it stated on the jacket?

Are you using the Lumagen to do any processing / Darbee or are you going to capture a "raw" MUSE disc w/o any help from Lumagen?

Yes, both jacket & disc label should show something along the lines of "A-Mode 4ch Stereo".

Thank you. I will try the first capture early to mid next week.

Hi-Vision LDs should be preserved before they rot away. Especially the titles that haven't been released in any other format. I'm saddened to see that there aren't any big collective efforts to preserve them.

Pandemic didn’t help my free time situation. I have been going into the office everyday like before. I will eventually get to this but doesn’t seem anytime soon.

Wow, that collection is really impressive.

Do you still have the Jurassic Park file somewhere. The link is dead and I would love to look at it.

I pulled my capture card from storage the other day. It is a Black magic Intensity Pro 4k PCIe card. Supposedly, it can capture up to 4K30 from its HDMI input. It also has a DB25 connector with breakout cables with composite, S-video, and component inputs. The analog I/O section is a bit disappointing. It uses the ADV7180 chipset which is 2D 5-Line only for the composite input. The famous ADV7800 chipset was already available well before this product launched.

Edit: Kintex 7 - XC7K70T by AMD/Xilinx is the FPGA used on this card. It is actually a very expensive FPGA for a $235 capture card.
