trying to figure this out.. its NOT the settings.. as you can see the light white dots im guessing a bad CAP, but can anyone guide me where this might happen? - pix |

I honestly don't know what I'm looking at here. Maybe you can explain what you are seeing, under what conditions, & how you have determined that (as you say) it is NOT the settings. |

When i first got the unit they weren't present, but came about a few weeks after i got it, and no settings has been changed. i have tried all muse inputs and component outputs on the decoder and no change. Some guy on FB say he has the exact same problem, so i fear it might be some chip and not a damaged cap. i can make a video while playing a disc to see how it behaves |

Have you looked at the video output with an oscilloscope? My guess is overshoot caused by some kind of problem in the reconstruction filter of the final video DAC, but without something other than a screen image, it's hard to say anything meaningful. |
