got a little problem.

i bought a used Pioneer VSX-39TX.
cause i don't know what settings were changed etc. and want to reset them to factory defaults.
so i can config it the same way like a new one.
neither in the user manual nor the service manual is written how to do it. google search gets also no results. using guides from other pioneer vsx models didn't work either.

after trying a lot i found out that to hold the "fl dimmer" button and turn on the unit inits the reset function. but what button comes next ??

anybody here knows this ??

if it's an elite you can phone them and they will tell you.
i used to have to call about my vsx-tx55i.

i know there is a way but can't remember as i don't have it anymore.

isn't it a bit expensive to make a call from germany to the us-hotline just for a little button sequence ? and maybe have to wait for hours in a waiting loop ?

i thought there's an easier way.

to send a mail to pioneer is a bit complicated, cause they want to know your whole adress etc. that i don't have cause i live outside the us.


maybe i try another thousand times to find out the right button sequence.

i know they have an 800 toll free number for the USA.

you can try giving them an email, they will respond pretty fast.

it tells you in the manual, but i'm guessing you don't have that, it's a button that you hold down if i remember correctly.

did you try a search on the internet? there should be others that have this issue.

Hold down your receiver's "Enter" button and the "On/Standby" button simultaneously until "Reset" and "No" appears on your display.

Make the display say "Reset" and "Yes" by pressing your "Preset" arrow buttons. Press "Enter" on your front panel and your settings will be reset.

But ... i don't have these buttons on the front panel.

If I'm reading right, all you need are the "Enter", "On/Standby" (aka "Power") and the "Preset" arrow keys- just three buttons.
