Now that i've pretty much figured out my avr, here are the settings i use... by default, all speakers are set to "Large" and 100hz, rear speakers are set to "Bi-Surround" and they are -6db
DTS LD'S: normal, sometimes switched to 7.1 to enhance the sound, such as the shadow AC-3 LD'S: normal AC-3 LD'S: EX decoding manually turned on most Dolby Surround titles: normal.
however, certain titles, like the Star Wars "Faces" are set to 200hz and the subwoofer is raised a little. Movies that had a Split Surround 70mm release: PLII, 150-200hz and subwoofer raised a little.

100Hz is a little high for large speakers.... On stage it is good with top and lowfrequencie cabinets (not with subwoofers) In my cinema setup, my speakers are playing full range

substance wrote: Why do you set your xover to 200Hz? certain movies were in the Baby Boom and Split surround format, hence 150-200hz.
