I had switched my reciever on today and the volume dial isn't working right it will go from what i set it at then when i adjust it it will get really loud and then it takes a little fiddling with the dial to make it go back down.... so what is wrong with it?

Does the change in volume happen when you switch audio sources?

no its just when i try to adjust it and it will jump all the way to the highest volume the stay around that volume i think the dial is going bad
