I recently purchased a Kenwood KC-Z1 and KM-Z1 as a second AC-3 setup. Both units are THX certified. So far, I'm impressed. The amplifier has two transformers in it, bringing the weight of that unit alone to just under 53 pounds. The remote is one of those 90's touch-screen types, which can be annoying, but it is better designed than the one I use with my Sony TA-E9000ES. I need to find the time to properly disassemble the amplifier to give it a proper cleaning, but it does not look like that is going to be too easy.

Nice!! I remember this unit back in the day. Awesome styling especially that unique look of the detachable touchscreen on the front of the pre-amp.
