I had a component cable, got it really cheap new, but never opened it. and now I kinda regret not having one to hook my psp up to a tv. I do have the movies on other formats and not many games so maybe if I get more games I might track it down again,

DVDO VP50 Pro arrived this morning, complete with rackmount plates attached. I removed them to better fit the unit in my AV cabinet.

It is in great nick. The remote still has the clear plastic cover on the buttons like new! Delighted with it so far.

Add an external fan to the DVDO if it doesn’t have one. Those things run very hot and that can hard the DVDO.

Just replaced my Roger Waters 1990 Belin "the wall" concert.

My copy has corruption that was not there ten years ago ! ? !
This needs careful consideration.

Looking forward to rocking out to my new copy when it arrives !

Cheers

I have the VP30 and still yet to fully test my unit but one of the things I noticed is that my unit and the power supply run really hot even when the unit is left off. Not sure if your unit does the same but if it does I might consider making sure you keep it well ventilated and maybe on a switched outlet.

Multi-tool MFT 180

I had to make a hole in the wall around the chimney shaft of the wood-burning stove to install an inspection hatch. :D

Is South Africa a PAL region? Did not know that! I thought you lads were SECAM for some reason.

Re the VP50 Pro. Yeah I unplug it after every use to.be safe. Going to stick it on a smart plug and link it to my Harmony hub like I do with my APD-2.

The PSU makes a concerning whine sound, like a hearing test tone, when in use for a long time. It looks fairly heavy duty, though coming with rack mount plates it probably saw heavy use in a commercial AV system.

I may well replace it to be safe. Heard the Gr€€dBay PSU's are pony though?

Yeah, PAL region here.

Except for that game which is NTSC (bought from a member off a local forum) the rest is all stuff that was available here.

No way. And some of it is BBFC certified too. The game is great. I have it somewhere as it still works on X360.

Maybe it's places like Ivory Coast, Niger, Burkina Faso and other French-speaking countries in Africa that adopted SECAM? East Germany loved a bit of SECAM action btw.

Here's a bunch of African nations that migrated from SECAM to PAL:
