Windows 10 IoT Enterprise edition will continue to receive Windows 10 updates until 2032. It would only make sense for these two graphics vendors to support Windows 10 even when other versions expire in October of 2025. Microsoft is butt hurt because so many people are choosing to stick with Windows 10 over Windows 11.

Since it's for embedded systems, supporting high-end video GPUs makes little sense.

I'll pay the $30 1-year extension in October to last till 2026 but after that it will be Debian/Ubuntu all the way.
Nothing of Microsoft will remain at home, only Linux (Android, Debian) and FreeBSD (iOS).

Had to upgrade to Windows 11 for my work laptop... and I don't like it.

This will end my Windows Journey, which started as a young kid with Windows 2!

Julien

PS: Ubuntu 24 is actually pretty good and, for most casual laptop users, enough to replace Windows entirely.

With traditional PCs being much less popular now I sort of wonder why anyone runs Windows at home. Grandma can do what she needs to do on her iPad. More games than ever run on Linux. Facebook runs on everything. Mac people have their Macs…but some people still like to be hassled with “Files is now called Shared” every two weeks and being told their installation is invalid because they bought a new hard drive.
