I have little hope but if any of you is in the vintage audio gears hobby, chances are that you already had to replace some light bulbs on VU Meters at some point. I have 4 of these to light up again: Attachment: From what I can tell after some research, they are the fuse/snap type running at 8V/55mA. No reply from TEAC/Tascam, Tokyo vintage repairs shops don't have any left, online sellers for LED replacement can't confirm if their models will fit. Any idea? Julien |

Looks like you’re looking for axial lightbulbs and obviously would want original incandescent with a warm glow to match what you have now. This site sells them…. https://www.jkllamps.com/home/axial-lea ... amp-audio/ …. but may not ship to Japan. Also, seems they do sell them on eBay as well. |

ldfan wrote: This site sells them…. Yes I already searched this website but the fuse extremities (Marantz type) are too big/wide for the TEAC/Tascam models. And they sell by pack of 25 only. They seem to be old TEAC part #5772925400. Attachment: Here is by 5pcs but they mention the fuse type is too big for Tascam as well. https://www.dynamtechgroup.com/tape-meterlamps.php I'm trying to avoid soldering things if I can... Julien |

I think you also need a resistor but just replace them with LEDs and get the newer warm white color ones. |

Sometimes these bulbs are solder only and you won't have any option unless you open up solder two wires with a holder of some type so you can replace the bulbs. Mine has been dead on one of the two channels on my amp ever since I bought it and I have been meaning to replace it but never have, at this point I never will either. |

I awoke in a cold sweat in the middle of the night yesterday and wondered if you ever got your bulbs? At around 3am I woke again. There was a tap on my window. I turned it on and had a drink. I couldn't get back to sleep. I noticed a bottle of sleeping pills on my bedside table. I woke one of them up and took it. The lamp went out. I told it to be back by morning and went to sleep. |

Thank you for the painstaking attention to my long vintage quests Because of the low unit price, I'm giving these guys a try (2x white 8V, 2x white 8~6.3V, 2x green 8V, 2x blue 8V). https://audiolabga.com/mal_cart/mal_cart2020.php?nte=LAMP8V Julien |
