I want to have VCRs on the top and the middle would be VHD and Laserdisc players
the third one would be a DVD player and AVR (possibly with the Power protector)
and the bottom would be laserdiscs and VHD

I want to have it next to the TV where the desk is

would the shelf would be strong for this and is the location fine?

Just wondering if the shelves at 36cm are deep enough? My Pioneer CLD-2950 alone is around 43cm front to back then you’ll need a bit of extra space for hooking up at the rear. You could pull the unit away from the wall a little I suppose but it may lose its stability if free standing especially when all the other components are in place not to mention becoming a little top heavy, don’t know what other’s think but I have my doubts about this tbh.

I can see its a little deeper than the Fjallbo and the top shelf looks fairly sturdy but note that the internal sections are only 13kg max and if the tweeking involves removal or cutting of several of the upright pieces so as to fit your other gear below then maybe the integrity of the whole unit will be seriously weakened? Its your money but if it were me I honestly think I’d look elsewhere.

Just thinking again, if you could accommodate everything on the top and bottom bits then maybe this could work for you pulled away from the rear wall slightly?

I might just get that since I have used it before for a little bit and I know the VHD player can fit in the cubby holes and the discs work. I was originally thinking of spacing them out but possibly stacking would be better. thanks.

No problem with this rack....... see photo (i have no idea why this photo is turn upside down in the preview... sorry for this.). On top is a 65 inch OLED TV.
The LD Player and the AV Receiver are too deep, so i use only 2 of the 3 doors. :)

here's the layout I have now. I need a Kallax shelf to fill in the holes for other equipment but this provides ample space for my movies and other stuff.
