I've read most on
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/THX Quote:
Prior to September 1, 1997, no longer being known as a "sound system", THX was removed from all theaters, with the exception for a couple of trailers that THX had then-recently created (such as its own mascot, Tex the Robot) in 1996, would vaguely be seen in theaters.
Yeah a lot of cinemas in the UK that was getting geared up with newer THX cinemas around mid early 90's only lasted a few years before being taken down off the THX of the site. Best cinema I went to with well I guess if you ripped the THX crossover out and replaced it with a JBL 5235 crossover it might very well sound great. High Wycombe screen 1 was fantastic lows literary press on the body!
Today that site has removed its THX around just near or after 1999 I heard? Too bad but since Lucas is greedy I really don't care for his, company or his rubbish star wars films no more. He fE$%ked up a good thing!
I wonder if THX certify plasterboard after-all that is what they use for the THX baffle wall and so that’s the biggest part of the trick plasterboard. Well plasterboard is cheap as chips and I don’t have to worry about paying too much for it with silly THX sticker badge on it.
