I'd have to look the title up as I can't recall the name?

That's right expect you have to buy the SE motion picture laserdisc or DVD but I prefer the theatrical release as the sound effects music and dialouge sound better, plus the extended laserdisc is panned and scanned the SE DVD is scope with a dreadful Dolby 5.1 mix and the ships alarm sounds like cat being sang around.

I don't mind the sound mix of the Director's Cut DVD but I do object to the new CGI effects. I grew up with the US TV Cut which was shown on the BBC when I was a kid, but no home version has fully satisfied me as it's either the Theatrical or Director's Cut or the P&S TV version.

I also object to the CGI as well and the editing which is dreadful. I can't watch or listen to that version no more. Even the opening titles and closing credits . The only best thing about it was the audio commentary, but when, Robert Wise mentioned anything about CGI or editing even the sound re-mix, I just cringed up in the seat. Some of the English Foley effects are missing yet the German track seems to have them in-tact for most part. When Kirk, knocks his knuckle down on the table when he and McCoy are both viewing the video screen of Decker and Ilia, listen out for it, then switch to German track.

Just recently getting into Star Trek I don't have much. I do have the 1st film with the 12 extra minutes of footage on LaserDisc, and then I have this beautiful set. Snagged it for only $5 too! LDDB Entry: http://www.lddb.com/laserdisc/31476/LV- ... ie-VoyagesI actually used that set to watch the first 4 films. (With the exception of the 1st film, I watched the DVD director's cut of that). I have a few more films to go, but they were fun to watch!
