I think the forum should have a beyond laserdisc section for any topics that members want share but are not necessarily about lds or films , I started my own forum with many different categories but you do tend to find that a few catergorie will dominate so I ended up deleting some that were used very little if at all. I think the lddb forum is looking great but if you do want any help or to know a little more about my own forum please feel free to contact me.
here are a few examples of beyond laserdisc subjects on my forum
1 Petition for classic horror films on BBC TV 2 What Else Are You Into..? 3 Doctor Who series 6 (or 32 if you're being exact) 4 AV Referendum
5 NOT ABOUT FILMS BUT VERY MOVING Please read this before clicking the link to view the video.
A true story One day a son asks his father: "Daddy, will you run the marathon with me?" The father answers yes and both run their first marathon together. One day, the son asks his father if he wants to run the marathon with him again and the father answe...rs yes. They both run the marathon together again. Then one day the son asks his father: "Daddy, will you run the Ironman with me?" (the Ironman is the toughest...it requires a 4km swim, 180km biking and 42km running). The father says yes again. This all sounds easy...but check this video.
I agree. There should be an "beyond LD" topic. This allows people to post other things not directly related to LD's and it will ultimately keep the other topics "clean".
Well, We could talk about blue ray, lol. I have a decent collection going and I cant get a digital signal where I live so it is pretty much all physical media for me.
Yeah why not a PAL and NTSC forums so that threads related to NTSC USA or NTSC Japan and other and PAL UK and German.
Wouldn't a set of topics in LD/Movies, LD/Music and LD/General about PAL discs be enough?
Julien
LOL I suppose so. Cheers anyway Julien for the new inactive way to talk about these subject matters in civil minded way about the ups and downsides of this wonderful moving shiny Laserdisc format. --Andy--

How come you can't get a digital signal? Do you live in an underground bunker or something
