Lead stories in the local newcast:

Hundreds stand in line for new video game...

B of A fined for improper account overage fee calculations, they say "We did nothing improper"...

Michael Jackson fans cheer when Dr. Murray found guilty...

This tells me

1. Other nations have long lines for food, so nobody should be starving in the US

2. Corporate bigshots are either out-of-touch or just liars, or both.

3. Revenge is always a part of the judicial system, aka "justice" in court, and pop stars are more signficant to many than a poor little girl named Caylee.

Relevant factors in the US :?

1. The Ostrich generation marches on.
2. DE-leveraging that began in 2008 is still going on.
3. Fiat currencies are in real trouble.
4. Debt problems are attempting to be solved by the assumption of more debt.
5. The Real Estate market has not recovered.
6. Job market is weak.
7. Europe is on the brink of a financial disaster.
8. The world is becoming a more dangerous place every day.

Okay  enough of that ... now it's time to think about what I'm going to have for supper tonight and what movie
I'm going to watch.

we americans are always looking for someone to blame and punish. Here in Connecticut we just had a HUGE power outtage, over a million people lost power for 3 days because of the storm we had a couple of weeks ago. Now everyone's blaming connecticut light and power for not fixing the damage in time, even though they had thousands of people working overtime every day.. and now people are actually suing CL&P! Great! Now they'll have even less money to fix the next power outage because they have to pay out all these lawsuits!
