That Pier Solar game for Dreamcast you got there, isn't that a homebrew game?

Kind of. It's a new produced game that was originally programmed for the Mega Drive but has been ported to several other consoles. I'm a good fellow of the map designer and he joined me on yesterday's trip.

Cool. Found out now why it looked so familiar when I looked in my game shelf. I actually have the Mega Drive version! Probably should pick up the Dreamcast version too, then. :)

Wait, HOW did you get Pier Solar on DC? That's not out yet, I'm still waiting for my copy!

Because I'm a personal friend of one of its developers and he gave me a copy for free. ;) It hasn't shipped so far.

Or maybe neither since you clearly don't play them.

Haven't played it, yet. I do plan to do it. Haven't touched my (PAL) Mega Drive in ages, but got into it again after I got a japanese model. Don't like PAL consoles that much, especially the old ones because of the difference in game speed that occur. This game were stacked with my PAL titles, which is the reason I kind of forgot about it. Moved it with my NTSC titles now that I actually use. :)

I've got it on Dreamcast and Mega Drive, but don't think I'll ever play it. If I would then I'd get it on Steam. Only two reasons I got it is for the sake of my friend and the fact that I'm a big Dreamcast fan and want it in my collection.

Wouldn't say so, but I'm certainly no RPG guy. Arcade style is my cup of tea.

Since it looks like a couple of you guys collects for the TurboGrafx/PC Engine, are there any recommended online resources for purchasing games, since I'd like to start buying for the system?

The only online places I can think of are eBay and a gamegavel.com. I don't use game gavel too often, but they've been around for a while. Mostly I just buy locally and save my money for the big local Game Expo in Portland once a year. Which for anyone in to older games, if you have the means I strongly recommend checking out. This will be my 8th year attending.

There are dozens of webstores you could buy from. There are also sellers on facebook actually. That's my preferred method of buying these days.

The only drawback with the Turbo Everdrive is that you can't play CD games on it. You'll miss out on a lot of cool games, one of them being Castlevania. Still, you can play all the HuCard games on it, which is really cool. I think there are a couple of games that is not compatible, but haven't noticed anything with my Everdrive, yet.

It's actually fine. I had an original Genesis copy which I sold when I sold my Genesis stuff, but I've had the DC version and the guide on order for a long time. Looks like it ships this next week, hopefully. My VGA box is ready. :D

Nice to hear Thewhitefalcon. Dreamcast looks awesome with 31KHz RGBHV. Have a look for Rez and Ikaruga when you're at it.

Got my Pc Engine today and gave it a short try. The controller reminds you of the Nes one but certainly improved. Seems like a fine system, and very compact in terms of design. Composite output was actually not too bad considering it being composite but I'm longing for it to get an RGB mod.

I picked up "Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection" on Sunday. Super awesome getting to replay these games on my PS4, especially now -- when I first bought the original "Uncharted" back in 2008 I had my PS3 hooked up to a SD TV with some PC speakers as my audio output. Now I'm playing it on an HDTV with 5.1 DTS audio. I had no idea it sounded this good.
