| Post subject: | Do any of you guys collect video games? |
I'm just wondering if any of you guys collect video games, and not just Laserdisc's. My Consoles (the ones I can think of at the top of my head): Panasonic 3DO (FZ-1) Philips CD-i (Magnavox Branded, and Model 550) Atari 2600 (The video cable is very wonky, but system itself works fine, otherwise) Atari Lynx (Model 2) SEGA Genesis (HD Graphics Model 1) SEGA Genesis (Model 2) SEGA Game Gear SEGA CD (Model 2) SEGA Dreamcast (Two working ones, two others with bad GD-ROM drives) SEGA Saturn (US Round Buttons Model) SEGA Master System (First version with Snail Maze built in) NEC PC Engine Duo-R Nintendo NES Nintendo SNES (Not Working) Nintendo SNES Mini Nintendo 64 Nintendo Gameboy (I own three of them, one being a Black "Play it Loud" model, a regular white one, and another white one having a rotted screen) Nintendo GBA SP (Back-lit model, I think) Nintendo Gamecube Nintendo DSi Nintendo 3DS Nintendo DS Lite Nintendo Wii Nintendo WiiU SONY PS1 (I own two. I used to collect video games, but not anymore. Some of the consoles I had: Sega Mega Drive 1+2 Sega Mega CD 1+2 Sega 32X Sega Saturn Sega Dreamcast Philips CD-i 450 Goldstar 3Do Nes Snes Atari 2600 Playstation Playstation 2 Playstation 3 And some handheld ones that I rarely used. Today, I only have my Sega Mega Drive model 1 and Sega Dreamcast left, plus a broken Sega Saturn (Japanese model) somewhere. My brother have a PS3 and I've been thinking of getting Grand Theft Auto V for it. |

Quite a bit, mostly 16-bit (Neo, PC Engine, SNES/SFC, Genesis/MD) handhelds, and later Nintendo consoles. I haven't counted my games in years but I'd imagine I'm at 400 or so by now. |

Fat PS3 60GB Slim PS3 120GB No games for me. Bought the first one on release week to watch blu-ray movies. Second one was a gift. Both been replaced by blu-ray disc players around 2008. Since then collecting dust. |

The lists so far have been impressive. Started out on Colecovision and Intellivision......Wish I still had those consoles. Atari 2600 fanned the fire. Was given a 5200 for Xmas circa 1983 and quickly forgot about the previous gaming consoles. Bought a Sega Genesis in the early 90's. Still have that platform with approx 50 games. Also have a DreamCast with 38 games. Very cool and underrated platform. Wish it would have done better and later generations issued. Have in current use: Resident Evil 5 Elite 360 125 GB Console. (In-Service.) Final Fantasy Elite 360 250 GB Console. (Backup) Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Elite 360 250 GB Console.(Backup) Gears of War 3 XBox 360 Slim 320 GB Console. (In-Service.) For the 360's we have approx. 55 games. And for Christmas this year obtained a day one XBOX ONE with four games and an extra controller. Very excited about this next generation device. Anticipating games issued this year along with play enhancing upgrades as time goes by........ Not a collector per se, however still don't have the heart to ditch the Sega Genesis ! LoL !!!!! I've never been a Nintendo fan (honestly, the Snes is horrible imo). In fact, I'm really all for Sega and Playstation. The Mega Drive has such an amazing library of games, Gunstar Heroes alone would make it the best video game conosle of all time. Luckily, it also has Streets of Rage 2 and Sonic The Hedgehog 3 which only makes it better. Sega Dreamcast is awesome too, Power Stone is one of the most amusing games I've ever played. I still have Snatcher for the Sega Mega CD somewhere, signed by Kojima himself. I love that game but it feels so excessive to have such a valuable copy of that game. Don't know what to do with it... |

Got a few consoles, don't play them as much as I used to. Currently . . . Sega Genesis Super Nintendo Turbo Duo Neo Geo CD Sega Saturn Sony Playstation Sega Dreamcast PS2 Xbox Xbox360 Used to have . . . Atari VCS/2600 Atari 5200 Atari 7800 Intellivision ColecoVision NES I actually did buy Ghost in the Shell recently for the Playstation. I read that it supported 16x9 widescreen so I wanted to see what that looked like. |

I collect games I am interested in or nostalgia. I use to have a lot of games and other systems but I have paired down to: PS3 120GB Slim PS2 Slim PS Wii SNES N64 Gamecube Dreamcast Saturn (model 1 US, Model 1 JP and Model 2 US) I might get a PS4 if there are any games I like but I might just stop completely getting systems and just get stuff for my old systems. Handhelds: Neo Geo Pocket Color GameBoy Pearl Blue SP Zelda DSLite Zelda 3DSXL Gamegear Nomad PSP slim I tend to collect stuff like I have various NBA JAM TE and regular on various systems plus the sign board (though it has seen better Days) Zelda games (not all unfortunately) and other goods lunchbox DS Kit some skins and 3DS armor. Killer Instinct GB, N64 and 2 SNES one missing the cd and one with the cd but missing the box and manual. of course Evangelion games and other anime import games. there are others but I don't remember atm |

I have a collection that is sort of all over the place: NES x2 Gameboy (Original Grey, Yellow, Black, Red and Green) Super NES x3 Super Famicom Virtual Boy x3 N64 x3 Gameboy Advance (3x Purple, 1 Grey) Gamecube x2 (Black and Purple) Gameboy Advance SP (3x Purple, 1x Red, 1xGrey 1xPink) Nintendo DS Lite (1x Black, 1x Pink, 1x Red) Nintendo Wii Nintendo Wii U Sega Master System Sega Master System 2 Sega Genesis x2 Sega Genesis 2 x2 Sega CD Sega CDX Sega Saturn Sega Dreamcast Neo Geo Pocket Colour Tiger Game.com Tiger R-Zone Atari 2600 (Heavy sixer, Vader, Junior) Atari Lynx 2 Matel Intellivision Colecovision Commodore 64 Commodore Vic 20 Texas Instruments TI-99/4A Playstation 1 x2 Playstation 2 (1x Original, 1x Slim) Playstation 3 Playstation 4 PSP Xbox x3 Xbox 360 x3 I think that about covers it. Here's some pics (not all) of my video game collection:  WiiU & PS3  XBOX 360 & My Only two WiiU Games  CD-i and Atari 2600  All of my CD-i stuff  My 3DO & My only game complete in the long box  My other two 3DO games  My NES  My Famicom games, and the only NES game I could easily find  Guess what this amazing game is.   My SEGA Genesis Model 1 & Model 2 SEGA CD (The Genesis is my favorite console ever.)  My boxed Genesis games (Son of The Mask doesn't deserve to be next to them.)  Some of my loose Genesis games  My SEGA Game Gear  I was too lazy to take a pic of my GBA, but I easily could locate this neat game (A little game: Guess what anime this is based on. )Please tell me what you think.

I collect many games for different systems. I acquired a NES machine at a flea market 6 - 7 years ago, didn't work well, turned out to be the 72-pin connector that needed replacement. Works well and I have a couple of games for it, Super Mario, Duck hunt (with Zapper), Chip 'n Dale, Simpsons, etc. For the Super Nintendo I have Super Mario Allstars, Blues Brothers, Prehistorik Man, Lost Vikings, Unirally, Donkey Kong Country. I have two Playstation 3 systems, both upgraded to 1 TB each and new thermal compound on the GPU and CPU. At least doing some to prevent YLOD. For the Playstation 2 I have the GTA games and some PS1 games, Duke Nukem - Time to Kill and Land of the Babes. For the Sega Mega Drive 2 (Genesis 2) I have Moonwalker, Aladdin, Lion King, Lotus Turbo Challenge and some others. |

tpgb12: What do you think about the 3Do? I haven't had one for six years but the few games I played on it were pretty awful... Road Rash was playable though, and I've only played Return Fire on Playstation but I prefer Desert Strike. I had Supreme Warrior and some Dungeons and dragons game and those were some of the worst games I've ever played in my whole life, even though there are FMV-games that I find tolerable. I also had a Famicom along with a Disk System back in the days, all CIB and in very good condition. Nice collectibles but I never tried any of it out. |

I have a pretty large collection of games and some consoles - been collecting since about 1985. A Laseractive (with all four gaming pacs) SNES Gamecube PS2 PS1 (US) PS1 (Japanese) PC-FX Sega Genesis and CD Sega Dreamcast Sega Saturn 3DO Jaguar (with CD attachment) I also have: 1) a gameboy player for the gamecube so I can play the various gameboy games 2) an adapter for the SNES that allows me to play famicom, nes and super famicom (no big deal since it is so easy to modify an SNES console) games. 3) A sega power base I gutted and mounted in a project box (to fit a genesis 2) for Sega Master System games. Probably my favorite system is the sega cd - while it didn't have a huge library of u.s. games it had a pretty high percentage of top notch games - especially rpgs (my favorite genre along with strategy games - better yet strategy rpgs!) And those handsome oversize jewel cases (which I know some people don't like) look mighty impressive on s shelf with all those matching blue spine labels. I have been focusing on reproductions for the SNES as of late - especially from Timewalk. They turn out some very handsome stuff. |
