Nice decor in the den while watching your laserdiscs. The artwork (like laser covers) is astounding on many of the old originals. I've been collecting them over the years now. Nothing like knowing that some of these one sheet posters may have hung in some far off theatre lobby years ago. It's not a costly hobby but like any other hobby the real desired stuff costs bucks. Knowing your original poster of Invasion Of The Body Snatchers (1978) is hanging there somewhere while you dim the lights from your easy chair and play the disc (tape), is fullfilling, and adds some ambiance to the room.

Get some acid free folders to store or hang them. Set up a man-cave with all your unused or obsolete equipment (plus one monitor) for down time. Build a few shelves for media storage. Hang the posters in black frames either in a row or whatever strikes you. The posters are an addendum to our world of laserdisc, dvd, blu ray, hd dvd, beta ,vhs, reel to reel. Now your in your element. Have at it!

When I was a teenager I worked in a movie theater that no longer exits. We were cleaning up the basement one day and discovered a stash of movie posters ... probably somewhere in the 200 poster range. finds ... that were not suppose to exit ... my understanding at the time, was that movie posters were suppose to be destroyed after the movie finished showing.
I remember seeing posters for "Gone with The Wind" ... "Billy Jack" ... "Dirty Harry" .... some Elvis movies (don't remember which ones) ... and others.

I have several hundred movie posters I have gotten over the years. My coolest is a copy of Return of the Living Dead signed by everyone including several of the bands. The only person I dont have is Miguel Nunez, whom ironically has been in several shows I have been in, I just have never gotten his autograph, he has always bailed on me.
