Airsoft has seen a big rise here recently. IMO, it sucks. You can never prove hit anyone so screw it.

If you play with good people everyones just honest and it isn't an issue.

It’s really just a dress up game for war cosplayers that make civil war reenactors look sane.

Yep, it's milsim. Some people think that's cool.

You should see some of the sights and straps and camera and walkies and smoke grenades and magazines and s**t these tools carry around with them.

Yep, I knew guys that wore actual body armor and added enough steel to their guns to get to 1:1 real steel weight. Completely useless in the game but they wanted to feel what it was like to actually be in combat. Milsim.

Nothing it too stupid to wear because none of it is performance related, it’s about being an invincible GI Joe.

No, it's about playing a Navy SEAL or an SAS operator on a rescue mission who could get shot.

It also fills the woods with plastic that will be there nearly forever whereas paintballs melt with rain.

You can get bio degradable BBs.

A classic paintball gun isn’t a replica of anything, it’s a real paintball gun. Paintball is at its best when it isn’t a fake war, but rather a real game.

Yeah it's a sport, I don't play sport. Wasn't it on ESPN for a while? Boring. I want to know what combat is like without dying. I want all the gear, that stuff is cool as s**t.

I think you must be the anti-me. You and I disagree on everything.

This lead to the rise of airsoft guns over there whereas in the US we had these yellow pellets launching things for decades and sold them as toys.

That's what I have as well. I have this really crappy Chinese UZI lookalike with poor tolerances and loads of mold flash, but it does have a laser pointer which is honestly a lot more useful as a laser pointer than a targeting device because that thing has a terrible accuracy. I also have a sawed-off Mossberg 500 with a fake aimpoint but the gun itself is actually quite nice and I can actually hit things with it.

To be honest I've got lots of different hobbies and interest. Among these include...

Film and film history in general
Anything involving photographic film
Gaming (literally everyhing single player)
Music (also pretty much everything)
Pro level video monitors
Display calibration
Archival work
Cars
Photography
Hi-Fi

And the list goes on, and on.
