slightly off-topic but, who's managing his website and will the catalogs he had ever be converted to pdf and shared?

Ty's family posted the COD on FB recently: pulmonary thromboembolism.

Unfortunately, knowing this doesn't make losing him hurt any less. :( :( :(

thank you for sharing this.
no it doesn't make it easier knowing that hes gone but it is easier on my mind.

I recently came back after being out for awhile and saw a post by another member about disclord that urged me to search out some answers. That search just led me to this thread. Thanks Ant.

I did not know Ty personally, nor did we exchange any contact outside of all his informative posts here though I brought his endless knowledge to the attention of others @ OT.com. With that said, I am saddened to read this news only now. He inspired me to search out and learn about DTS cinema audio and find a way to possibly apply it to archiving of thearical audio for future restoration/preservation movie/film projects. Thank you kindly disclord.

To his family, friends, and anyone who benefitted positively from all he had to share with us, sincerest condolences from my family to ALL of you.

To disclord, may you be watching over ALL of us with kindness, inspiration, and care. May the wind be at your back, always.

Sincerely,

Shawn Arndt

A comment in another thread lead me here to discover this tragic news.

I just feel like saying thank you for all of the insights and knowledge that you so graciously shared with everyone on this forum.

We all continue to benefit from your wisdom.

Your presence, and the information you shared, is still felt and is as valuable as ever.

You've reached the final side. There is no more program material.

May there be no crosstalk where you are.

Two years on and would you all believe that it hurts more now than ever?

Ty would be going nuts with my MCA DiscoVision find(s). I have so many questions I want to ask him. :(

Post subject:  Re: RIP disclord

Just now happened to come across this thread. I was searching for content pertaining to the VHD format and had earlier visited the VHD DiscWorld site.
I was actually about to see if I could make contact here with disclord and ask a few questions.

Obviously I didn't know the person but going through some of their posts it becomes quickly apparent that they had a vast knowledge of LaserDisc and other formats.

Rest in peace.
