I do indeed smoke and have a bit of overweight but at least I don't drink much, not that I wouldn't mind getting wasted every now and then but I don't have much of opportunities to do that nowadays. However those aren't my main concerns at the moment: First I had an accident at work straight in the beginning of this year, took a dip in stairs and injured my knee rather seriously. I got finally rid of sticks in early summer and recovering is still in progress, but when I was supposed to try getting slowly back to work starting with halved hours last week I crashed my car. Rear tire blew up while driving about 65 mph causing car to slide off the road and do a half dozen barrel rolls before stopping, so now I'm again on sick leave due the injured left hand and shoulder with head full of painkillers. Speaking of bad year...

Indeed, got also windshield for a breakfast and some other smaller damages here and there so I feel pretty mangled all around right now, but I still made it thru with very little when thinking of what could've happened in worst case scenario. There was actually lots of luck involved as my 4 years old son was there with me and he survived the crash with one single bruise and nothing more, he if one had guardian angel around at the right moment.

Hullo laserbite34, Man I just got on and learned about your experience ! Really happy you came through alright and with a good attitude about changing some habits. Main thing is like bifrostbear mentioned, reduce stress. If there are major stresses in your life work on minimizing them or omitting them the best that you are able. Another thing to be cautious about is not doing drastic changes too quickly, ease into these life changes. Build up your exercise routine slowly not full tilt boogie right out of the gate ! Make walks a habit, shorter at first and then longer as you endurance is built up. As far as diet, here are some personal pearls of wisdom for you: I recommend Olive Oil (extra virgin) added to your diet. Great to cook with as well ! Also look up mediterranean diet for some inspiration. Consider adding some Virgin pressed coconut oil to your diet. I do a tablespoon most days that I remember to. Also Red Grape juice has several components that help eat away at plaque in the arteries, and it tastes great. I buy the organic grape juice and cut it with water to make it last a bit longer. It has to be Red grape juice, the other grape juices do not have the same effect. Also make sure the grape juice is not from concentrate and has no added sugars ! Very important point sir ! Refined sugars cause inflammation throughout our body. Inflammation is bad for our vessels(great and small), bad for our valuable organs, and also bad for our myriad of tissues. (Inflammation is also most harmful to our HEART !) These are just a few heart healthy suggestions. Like you typed, this is a wake up call. It seems by your posting that you are taking this event seriously. Kudos to you ! If you have any kind of chest pain and/or difficulty breathing call 999 immediately. Time is key where the heart is concerned. Modern medicine can do a lot to curb damage during a myocardial infarction however if one delays to get treatment then the damage cannot be undone. When in doubt, go get checked out ! ( Especially in your country where you don't have to sell the farm to get medical care ! ! ! ) Really glad that you came out on top after this event in your life. So happy your ok ! Stay the course, heed what your body is telling you brother ! Please post how things are going ! Pm me if you have any need for advice if unsure about anything down the road. Para-Medicine is my life right now LoL Cheers mate firehorse_44

Want to post here also. I do hope you get better, stick with fresh or frozen natural vegies and sea food, keep away from shrimp and other shell fish as those have other issues. but i'm sure you can have a taste once in a while keep getting better and as others said above, keep the stress level LLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWW. ________________________________ the rein-o official signature:

Sir I hope this finds you in much better condition. in 2006 I had to get paramedics to take me to hospital after my left arm got numb, breathing shallow,. I spent 2 days in ST.Joseph hospital. i had tried to tell the paramedics to get me to VA hospital. The other was closer. I came out feeling good after that stay. The bill showed up after 2 weeks. 15,000 thousand dollars

Good points on the above there and I read as much in the heart club manual. don't push myself or try and compete with others. firehorse_44 wrote: Another thing to be cautious about is not doing drastic changes too quickly, ease into these life changes. Its not a sugar low or free type that my dad brought around 2 months ago and I only opened a bottle 2 days ago. I have had maybe about 10 small glasses since to wash down the medication which I have taken a few hours ago this morning. Okay I'll BOYCOTT some of the bad things steadily and slowly merge over to healthier foods (as mater of fact I like to buy small salad for today. I ate enough chicken in the past to know its all KFRat being served up and put in a fridge. firehorse_44 wrote: If you have any kind of chest pain and/or difficulty breathing call 999 immediately. Para-Medicine is my life right now LoL Cheers mate firehorse_44 Yeah your right there firehose, the NHS without the professionalism and the long hours they pull 12 hours each day, good lord! There time, focus and mission is truly indispensable. Otherwise guys I would have been toast on Tuesday. But I had maybe a willpower inside that maybe didn't want to let go. Its been a wake up call and as soon as I'm okay in 6.5 weeks I guess now to be given green-light to join the heart-rehab-club to work-out and get the 196Ilbs of Jabba I have around my waist that I'm fed up of force feeding it, with rubbish! Its time now the wake up call has bite me hard in the a** and I frankly like to live to see another day not put on the pounds with little or no excise whether I don't smoke or drink, I should have damn well no better than this. I used to like swimming and cycling and running what is wrong with me? But the skin condition that gets on my legs arms and body not as bad as present and I have not used hardly any medication on my right leg its seems to have been residing slowly by itself but I have seen it before I had this condition for 32 years to know it will be back. Well firehose, I do like your diet or cooking I sure like to try one of your meals right now as that sounds better than KFC-ing the body with BigMacs and I not been near a KFC in maybe 16 or 18 months I hardly ever touch it and BigJunkMacs, not touched one maybe for over 2 years and before then maybe another 2 years its too expensive and its CRAP FOOD that is light on eating it and makes one won't to stuff themselves again with it while BigMac doesn't give a hoot if 100 customers feel flat on their faces into Mac or DeadMac? They only bloody care about how there F-ing stock market shares look.

About 40 mins today shopping time again but I was pursing and talking to people about my conduction and attitude on changing my diet, otherwise I think shopping time would have been around 30mins or few minutes less. Walking time to Co-Op was about 5mins so its about 4.5 to 5 minutes lesser than yesterday 7th of August 2015. I still feel a little jittery on my legs thou and taking slow walks (not fast walks). Well the salad I brought is not the best to my liking I may have to make my own as this was a bit too much. I mixed with a few prawns and sea food dressing and ate about half so there is another half maybe for later tonight or tomorrow. I washed down with a little Ribena few % in the glass and mostly largely water % for a drink. I seemed to be cutting back on the Co-Op zero sugar free drink so they say, and so far I feel better without the gases drink. The biscuits treats are for Sooty. so there is some mustered that has been recommended by rino and firehose. A few prawns to last a few days and white loaf of bread, potato salad, salad that I said I didn't really like I think I'll get the veg and make my own small salads as the one brought one carton enough to feed 5 people.

I don't remember much (I was not even in grade school yet) except that it did hurt - I am certain they gave me local anesthetic rather than a general since I remember bits and pieces (as it were) of the procedure. I don't think any of it was near my eye - the scar is centered just behind my sideburn so that was likely the center of impact. We got hit by a drunk - the woman driving saw we were going to be hit so she had fortunately used the brakes - it was mostly the impact of the other car that propelled me forward rather than forward inertia from the vehicle I was in. So I didn't hit nearly as hard as I might have - I didn't have any broken bones - just a lot of glass shards they had to deal with.

I think its 6 hours of the risk as my a** felt like I had a THE THING up it! I had 6 hours of the runs. Waking up to the toilet and then back to sleep for 5mins then BACK TO THE TOILET, great scott, 1.28Gwatts! I had a lousy night. I'm not sure its the baked potatoes I had with potato salad one-half-hour afterwards with the night medication. First I had few stages of major runs. A few explosions its a mess. Then second stages of hours after hours after hours after hours. I think I have now flushed it out and I have to think what triggered or cursed it to set off as it might be some food that is reacting with the medication. I had about 9 hours sleep but with the getting up and going back to bed and I got into a sleep mode pattern fairy fast so about 9 hours over the 8.5 hours I've had the last previous nights and at the hospital had about 8 to 8.5 hours sleep. I've had my morning medication of 4 types of medication and will have the 5th medication for afternoon then the 6th medication tonight before bed. I'm just worried about eating today.
