I don't remember much (I was not even in grade school yet) except that it did hurt - I am certain they gave me local anesthetic rather than a general since I remember bits and pieces (as it were) of the procedure. I don't think any of it was near my eye - the scar is centered just behind my sideburn so that was likely the center of impact. We got hit by a drunk - the woman driving saw we were going to be hit so she had fortunately used the brakes - it was mostly the impact of the other car that propelled me forward rather than forward inertia from the vehicle I was in. So I didn't hit nearly as hard as I might have - I didn't have any broken bones - just a lot of glass shards they had to deal with. Your lucky to be here. drunk prats shouldn't even been given a driving licence.

Brought two small loafs of wholemeal bread one in the freezer one on the cupboard. Made 3 small sandwiches with something that looks like "Audrey 2" from "the little shop of horrors", with tuna fish and a little seafood dressing (no butter). Folded the bread over as that saves on bread. Tasted nice.

elahrairrah, Cheers A little faint dizzy today when picking up my cat, I felt dizzy and faint and quickly relaxed down. Dinner yesterday at my dads stir-fry and afterwards had upset tummy and toilet, not good. A few sandwiches today and stir-fry with rice and prawns tonight no upset tummy so far as I had the medication now for 7 days.

Back from the hospital after a second heart-attack during the early AM morning hours! I phoned 999 after not be able to wait for an out of hours doctor to call me back and called 999, where paramedics arrived within 8mins. Was admitted to The Royal Bournemouth hospital again, with shortness of breath and dizziness. Had all the needless poked in me again and I'm rather scream-ish, about it. I stayed on the ground floor level for a few hours where I was taken up one floor to cardiac-ward where I staid one night while being monitored for condition and spoke for a few other patients. Later in the night of next day I was transferred to ward-23 where I remind and awaited the "procedure" which has given me the shivers since 4th August 2015. To relive me of the fears of the "procedure" a nurse gave me conference of her husband who has had it several times. I then said Yes to "procedure". I was taken to another ward, "23" where I waited until next day 19th August 2015, where I signed a paper to say Yes, to carry it, out. I was give an injection to make me feel a little sleepy so not aware of any pain or discomfort. I kept my eyes closed all though the 20 mins of the "procedure" while a stent was pushed though I rather not think it, it still gives me the chills. I was aware of all the sound around me and listening to the surgeon and following his instructions. When the "procedure" was all finished and wheeled out into the corridor, where I opened my eyes and feeling a little relived its all over. During my stay in hospital I have been worried about Sooty, my cat being all alone but topped up his food bowl and water before I left for hospital and while over-staying my dad has been popping around to feed my cat. Nice to be home and cuddle my cat. During stay on ward 23, spoke to many patents that have had major strokes and been well looked after and made lots of conversation as being sat in a hospital not talking to another person/patient for days on end would drive must stir crazy, so I made some effort to make conversation and got nice little group forum going, where talking about general things, hobbies and what you do and so forth. No laserdisc enthusiasts sad to say. I wished good health and recovery to the few who where in the same boat a farewell this afternoon. My walking is slow its a bit wobbly but may take 4 or 7 days to get back to normal walking pace as the last 17 days has been rough.

I had limited space on the phone for pictures and don't have a card adapter for phone sim card for plug in to laptop, so used digital camera on macro close-up. I wasn't feeling a happy camper 18th August 2015. I had a lousy nights sleep even though I wore ea-plugs, just unsettled with waking up and checking the monitor on my right side is had stable pulse and heart-rate and more. I was a nervous wreck. Oh this picture was taken on 19th August when moved to ward 23. Picture of doctors assembled in ward 23 reception. I didn't have enough memory space for pictures and wasn't really much in the mood. Well these pictures taken at home with the digital camera. I have to have the bandages on for a few days but I'll go for week to be on safe side. Right wrist is where the procedure was done, I rather not think about it, but I think its gonna be good, doctors and surgeons where best, I'm very grateful.

Both my in-laws had the same "procedure" years ago & both came through very well indeed. Take care & very best regards. John

Good afternoon Andy, I have just been reading up on your progress, and whilst reading I really felt your words, your fears, anxieties throughout the whole ordeal over the weeks since. Thank you for sharing with this forum as there will be those here who will be able to relate, and comforted by all that you write sir. I am truly glad that all went well with the surgery, and then with the ongoing recovery, and hope all that's good continues. You are not alone Friend, and there's the good number of members on this site who are thinking of you. Take good care and I shall keep a watch for any updates from yourself. Kindest Regards

Cheers guys and stay of smoking and drinking or drink at least in moderation, otherwise it runs a high risk. I still feel odd mild chest discomforts that I find worrying and I shall bring this up with the doctor at the hospital next week. I'm still a month and week away from what the doctors said, lay low for 7 weeks. I should be able to do some slow workout on the excise-bike to burn off the calories and fat, which is going to take at least a year or more to lose 20ilbs or maybe it would less? I'd find out when weighing myself each day week and month. Stay healthy guys.
