I've been looking for an old 80's action movie which I forgot the title.

Plot is:
A special electronic laser surveillence device was invented and used by crooks if I remmeber correct?
Only way to spot this illuminating laser beam was to put a whiskey bottle infront of the eyes and the electronic laser beam was spotted right through the bottle of alcohol.
This laser device was put in a semi trailer truck and was driven around for different crooked purposes.
I saw this movie when I was a kid back in the 80's, however I have forgot what the title was?

There was a another truckers movie from 1980 with Lynda Carter, title was The last song.
In this movie they also used an electronics laser beam device for surveillance, laser beam was spotted accidentally through a glass of wine.

I believe there was a sequel of The last song or maybe it was just another movie with a similar type of plot, using crooks - electronic laserbeam surveillance device which was spotted accidentally by using a whiskey bottle put infront of the eyes.
Does anyone recognise the plot and give me the title of this movie?
I've been looking for ages for this movie can't find it anywhere.
There are lots of old movie buffs here watching most movies on LD and VHS back in the good ole days, someone must recognize this title?
