My philosophy is like what you like and do not worry about trying to justify it to other people. Just do not make false claims. I am not into vinyl, but when people come over and see several thousand laserdiscs and say "That is an impressive record collection!", I simply reply "Thanks!".

But my phono interconnect made entirely from Fingerite (which is one of the rarest minerals on Earth found only on the summit of the Izalco Volcano in El Salvador and disappears when it rains) is so much better than your monoprice phono interconnect! I find that if I house it in a levitating cryogenic chamber, it gives a more relaxed, inviting sound. The encoded symphonic brassierfunglebumenvelopes toy with the composers originally intended sheet music notations to deliver a more honest, playful sound. This is enhanced if I only play my records between 2:04am and 3:19am on a Tuesday, and only if I've eaten all of my lunch and had a haircut just prior to playing anything. |
