I have broke down and decided to get Evangelion DVD-Audios (I, II and End) through Tenso (buyee). End of Evangelion wasn't ordered until today so can I wait till it arrives to their warehouse and then ship all 3? I got the email saying I and II are ready for payment and shipping.

Congrats! I have all Evangelion DVD-Audios, and they are absolutely awesome!

Never used Tenso/Buyee though, I am using either JIGS or Noppin these days.

I hope it will be alright. Getting them off of Amazon through 3rd party I hate without actually seeing it. haven't paid for shipping yet. I'm nervous about them being scratched or the booklet is missing.

am hoping the extra I pay for helps protect it in shipping. will post pics whenever I get it.

Nobody in Japan scratches discs. Get real.

My experience is that if a disc is scratched, it is listed as junk at a low price. Bought a Game Gear in Tokyo, and the store clerk explained that the display is damaged. Scratched up. When I got to my hotel room and inspected it, I could hardly see any scratches. I needed a very specific angle and lighting condition to see it. All PC Engine games I've ever bought have been scratch free too. The Japanese really do take very good care of their stuff.

is it the same purchase procedure as on ebay to buy stuff from Buyee?
buy from certain seller and seller will pack and ship item to you?
payment will be done through paypal?

I had to use an add-on to safari and go to the amazon page and add to the cart by use of the add-on. I manually had to type in which amount in yen as it won't let choose because it doesn't see the other options. payment is paypal or credit card directly.

the add-on seems to be amazon only

when it arrives in the warehouse buyee will ship it to you. the seller ships to the warehouse.

If I had to it over I think I might have order all three albums at the same. Also on multiple orders wait to consolidate into on package to ship to you and packing protection when all items are in the warehouse.

I got 2 out of 3. apparently one wasn't yet in the warehouse yet so now I have to pay for that one to be done separately. I didn't read the emails carefully and was confused. So next time I do it I'll make sure to wait longer and then consolidate.

will post pictures later. Also looks like a note came in Evangelion II album since it has a email address. Will scan that we i can. the paper seems rather flimsy and not like the nice booklet.

here is the slip of paper I found in Evangelion II album. sorry about it being small. I scanned it in directly and couldn't figure out how to masker it bigger on my mac.

Have to wait until tomorrow to get the first DVD-Audio album since the PO didn't leave it.

so when you bid or buy from Buyee auction site, seller then ships your item to a packing station.
this procedure must be similar to eBay global shipping program, as we all know people HATES using eBay GSP because their staff screws up package content by removing protection materials for a more lightweight package, eBay GSP screws buyers for customs fees and shipping cost!

first off, seller packs item securely, then ships to eBay GSP, their staff opens package to make a check up if item matches invoice, idiot eBay packing staff removes protective materials by orders from their top bosses, eBay GSP ships package it will take almost 30 days or more for delivery, buyer receives package with a 50/50% chance package content might be broken because eBay GSP packing staff discarded almost all packing materials to save money on shipping!?

would this be the same procedure done in Japan if you buy from Buyee and seller ships to a packing facility?
i wonder what would happen i i buy a laserdisc player?
would it be any possibility they would damage a player if they throw away packing materials for a more lightweight package to save on shipping?
this would be to scam the buyer on charging a higher shipping cost when they put the difference into their pockets.

bidding/buying from Buyee, shipping the item?
is package delivered by a 3rd party or not directly from seller who sent the item to your home address in another country?
i wish they had same procedure like eBay sellers not using eBay GSP, seller ships with their country post office directly to your home address, this would have been very much smoother, not using 3rd party for delivery!!

Nobody in Japan wants to ship to gaijin except these courier companies. Like it or leave it.

An international forwarding company might do it for a huge load of money.

Tried Buyee (http://buyee.jp) for a few auctions on Yahoo Japan and... I'm less than impressed.

Their customer service has excuses for everything but solutions for nothing.
The consolidation service is a joke.
They shipped electronics in brown paper (ditching the perfectly fine packaging the seller used)!!

Don't buy from them.

Any viable alternative?

Julien

Hmm. I've been using Buyee ever since Disc Legend and Surugaya went down. Aside from the high prices I've had no problems.
